Occultation of Saturn by the moon - 21h00 South African Time
10 years 11 months ago
For those who may be interested - look towards the moon before 21h25 21h00 Tues night. The brightest "star" near the moon is the planet Saturn. At about that time the moon will traverse Saturn and this occultation will only visible to Southern Africa.

I don't look up at night. The spinning ground is already hard enough to stay upright.
But I will try watch the ocsusalarttion23u8316954 tonite.

The earth spins at over 700mph where I stay....and I don't even feel the wind through my hair...

The moon is very bright. You will need binoculars or telescope. Look at 7 O'clock of the moon with the binos and you will see Saturn millimetres away. The occult looks very soon.

Ja, he can see clearly now (
)
Saturn now about 8 o'clock of the moon but is lost in the glare of the moon with the naked eye. Definitely need at least binos
