I was on a winning streak for almost two years and every time I was down, I some how came out of it. The last 6 months has been very very very bleak, catching a big bet has eluded me. Yip I am a loser now but I can tell you I dont earn a huge salary and racing was providing me with lots of extra money.

On July day 1985 or 1986 I spent R1000 on the p/a and R1000 on the j/p. With inflation methinks a grand then about the same as 20 grand now?
Incidentally, bankered The Barbican in 1st leg of p/a. He lost some 15 lengths at the start ( 1000m race ) and p/a was gone. Caught jackpot 5x and made R500 profit on the day

you complain they say you don`t have to take the lot....

don`t think some of these so called tipsters are in the real world,why would you pay a fanny that tips you the first 4 in the betting and throws in a pin job now and then.. then boom kachings when he shows a grand profit on a 10k out lay ()

SirP why u act surprised? At one stage your uncle was taking Jackpot for 80k and those days couplings were included I don't think he even used to get his outlay back.

Often work out a PA for > than 30 000 lines


and funny enough you can show a profit from said pa often.....

and i firmly believe that if you are taking a PA as your main bet every day you CANNOT do it for minimum lines (like the Old days ) When i 1st started racing a straight line PA was the order of the day, then a few perms, now a > 30 000 liner is the 1st one worked out....
