You are talking about guys playing PA for 20k that's more logical to do than to play a Jackpot with couplings for 80k, the PA will show a profit or you will get ur money back.

Now lets's look at it from another angle...
You play your PA for the last 20 years small perms R64 tickeys, etc...and you catch it ccordingly 1/2 times out of 10...spending R640 eventually on 10 goes and hoping for a big payout on the odd occation..
You clearly are not keeping record of money spent vs. Returns but since you consistently keep losing small for the thrill of that one ticket big winner you think losing smallfry is ok...and afterwards you keep on telling yourself ...if only I added the 4 in the 3rd leg I would have won R10k, if only I added the 1 in the 6th leg I would have profited a bar
<
Sounds familiar??? Now stop looking in the mirror (
)
Thank you for your contribution 1out punter...keep doing doing what you doing and expecting an alternative outcome is called insanity...
Now go throw that money down the drain...

How many punters will throw away 640 rand over 10 days?
And how many will throw it away in one 640 rand bet in one day?

Sir P, the answer to both of the above is many. That's the nature of a punter - they are too embarrassed to divulge how much they've lost, not that it's anybody else's business. There are very few big winners in this game but lots of big losers - how often do you hear of a bookie being taken out of the game (because of a big win) when you consider the ratio of punters to bookies, and the bookies overheads per month? Let's use Hollywood as an example, how many branches, staff and rents do they have to pay per month before showing a profit. I think Loopy is being kind by using the above figures/amounts.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
