Durban July Day - Rules and Entry Thread

Venue: Greyville Poly and Turf
Entry: R150
Prize: R3000 + (R100* Entries)
Additional Incentive: R50 per entry will be pooled and a P6 placed on July Day for the Greyville meeting. All entries which show a PROFIT (a return in excess of R2600) from their 12 selections for the day will share in the P6 payout should it be caught.

How to Play

Select ONE horse per race and a 'fictitous' stake of R100 tote win and R100 tote place will be placed on the selection.

NOTE CAREFULLY: For the Durban July (Race 7) the stake will be doubled i.e. R200 win and R200 place.

Entries close 30 minutes before race 1 carded off time and the ABC forum clock will be used (time of post). NO LATE ENTRIES will be valid.

Editing allowed up to 30 minutes before the start of Race 1.

The person amassing the highest return on the day will win the PRIZE pool.

Should the P6 be won, then all entries with a return of R2600.01 or more will share in the dividend.

NEW WRINKLE:
On race day I will open a thread for each competitor to post his return for the day if he feels he is competitive. In other words each entrant must keep track of his winnings and if competitive (or in excess of R2600) post on that thread.

I will audit all entries which may be potential winners.

Pool currently at R7600 but will make R8000. That implies P6 to the value of R2500 will be wagered.

Those still 'thinking' about entering MUST transfer today or do 'immediate clearance'. If not reflected in my account by 19h00 tomorrow evening you are NOT in the competition and your deposit will be given to the local Animal Anti-Cruelty and I will post a copy of the receipt on ABC's nice new shiny website

No problem, all entries will be assessed. bigH you do appreciate the work involved with one person doing 50 entries as opposed to 50 people doing ONE entry. Is just to speed up the process .....I will however be casting a beady eye over all the entries throughout the day(have taken sick leave from family committments for Saturday).
