There are too many "Stories".... The ones that comes mind now are . " Outsiders will win at month end". "If it rains the we get upset results"

I don't think that its about the value, but giving the punter an extra chance of cashing a winning ticket on the big race.

IMO. It is great value. Think about it... Imagine you take a big place bet and your horse is pipped on the line into 5th place....
