July - Whose Going?

So whose all going? Would be nice to meet some of the clanners that I havent met as yet. I'll be at the Jack Daniels Boomtown Marquee. Drop me a note if any of you guys are going to be around...-D

Never been to a July and unlikely to do so...prefer any other feature day !!

I know the July is now for the once a year racegoer but for anyone who hasn't been, I remember well being on the rail as they swung for home and the commentator called London News has gone for home 40000 plus people all roared at the same time, still get goosebumps remembering the day, the Met will never come close

That's harsh !!! I think I'll bring a baseball bat when I come to CT for the Two Oceans !!! I'll start practicing my swing now...{walks to study...picks up cricket bat in substitution unlike baseball bat bought...swats the air with wild swings} I need more practice...

There is'nt a better feeling in the world ! The hype, the crowds (knowledgeable), goosebumps, adrenaline flowing and that winning sensation seeing your horse cross the line with my late old man next to me. Good times ! Priceless ! Lets not forget the talent on show as well.
WOW brings a tear to the eye. RIP BCL my big boy.
No other meeting comes close to the VDJ.

I will be there- just not sure which tent and details yet.. Our organizer has been busy--

dropping Piere off and then running for the hills..last jock I dropped off on July day was Gerrit when Eye Of The Tiger won..so hoping Halve the Deficit can close my double and keep my 100% record intact. have not attended a July for the last 15 years...rather watch it from the comfort of my couch
