fancy abit of canterbury tale, took some 35's antepost. its going to be difficult overturning
last result at greyville with a 4.25 length beating from Hot ticket.
but Marwing on board and the extra ground could be the telling factor. for me excellent
E/W chance.

Gold Circle is pleased to announce the eLan Property Group as the new sponsor of South Africa’s premier staying horse race, the Grade 1 Gold Cup. The eLan Property Group Gold Cup will be run over 3200 metres at Greyville Racecourse on Saturday 26 July and the initial sponsorship agreement is for a three year period.
eLan and Gold Circle have also agreed terms whereby eLan will assume overall responsibility for the promotion and management of Greyville Racecourse as a major conferencing, hospitality and functions venue.
eLan’s CEO, Mark Taylor, said “Greyville Racecourse has unbelievable potential to support the conferencing and hospitality industries across the board. Much work has to be done but its facilities and position are ideal. Gold Circle will continue to focus on the promotion of the sport of horse racing, which is their core business, and eLan will add value by unlocking the enormous potential that the racecourse has to offer outside of the business of horse racing.”
Gold Circle’s Racing and Marketing Executive, Graeme Hawkins, added “At Gold Circle we are all tremendously excited that the eLan Property Group have come on board. I am especially pleased the Gold Cup has a brand new sponsor but equally we look forward to Greyville Racecourse being developed over time into an everyday destination facility for the people of Durban.”
Gold Circle’s CEO, Michel Nairac, said “Greyville Racecourse has much to offer from an infrastructural perspective and the association with the eLan Property Group will bring an extension to ensuring that the use of the present facilities are maximized.”
