Well Copper Parade ran 2nd in the Mercury Sprint so if they good enough they can win. Last PE based horse to win the Gold Cup was Cereus in 2001. Before that a horse called Stateway won it 1994 beating Surfing Home who lost the July a month earlier on an objection.
