Does anybody know if there are any royalties that need to be paid if Race results (UK and Local) are displayed to or sent to punters and a profit is made from it?

How would you profit ? SMS service

Suppose it depends what you send them

If you notice most websites have a copywrite disclaimer on information

Bit not sure how someone providing a service would breach this .

. Yes lets equate to an sms service. If you sms the punters race results. Would you consider a disclaimer enough to cover you legally? Can point me to an example of a website using a disclaimer ?

I doubt that their would be any legal issues as results are public information and not owned by anyone - It's a bit like sending an SMS when Germany scored a Goal - FIFA can't get royalties from that surely?
