most of it as the last game in the championship is the 4th October

Do the squad players never get released on a quiet week in the Championships?

they may if the national team are playing at home the next week. Pointless to let them play when they can pick up an injury or two but it wont matter as the Aussies are going to win it this season and at 5/1 it would be madness not to have a wager.
