He has trained the winner of every race carded on the day at the Harness meeting at Mildura last week. He is none other than the master Shane Cramp who has bettered his previous record of 6 winners of the card previously.

Shane Cramp did not stop there however, he went on to win the 1st 4 races on the Mildura card this week, effectively giving him a dozen of consecutive wins at his home track of Mildura.

What a great achievement, Mr.Cramp, well done, your runners are a model of consistency!!!

Mildura trainer Shane Cramp has achieved what is believed to be an AUSTRALIAN and maybe even, a world first.

Cramp's stable absolutely dominated proceedings at his home track on Tuesday night, not only winning every race, but recording a Trifecta in Race 1, and the Quinella in the 3rd, 5th and 7th events.

Shane drove 3 winners himself, while young Reece-Moore also had three winners and father Greg Cramp booted home a double for the stable.

" Absolutely fantastic. It's just unbelievable, " Shane Cramp told Harness Racing Victoria.

"We've got six before but to get 8 winners, that's just unheard of.It was a fantastic effort from all the team.Dad drove 2 winners and the young kid Reece-Moore we've got working for us drove 3.It's not going to be an early night tonight."

Trots fans Twitter and Facebook feeds were all about Cramp after the last race, many suggesting it was one of the most remarkable feats seen in the sport's history.

Shane Cramp bagged the 1st four winners of the card at Mildura on Sunday, giving him a total of 12 consecutive wins in a week. :woohoo:

Licences suspended effective immediately

The training and driving licences of Shayne and Greg Cramp have been suspended effective immediately.

No horses trained or owned by Shayne or Greg Cramp are permitted to race or trial.

All Shayne Cramp runners scheduled to compete at Mildura tomorrow night will be scratched by order of stewards.

Shayne and Greg Cramp are also excluded from attending harness racing tracks.

HRV will make no further comment on this matter today but will update tomorrow.

An investigation, commenced by the Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards’ Department, and continued by the Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit of Victoria Police, culminated yesterday in Victoria Police advising that criminal charges have been issued against licenced harness racing trainers Shayne Cramp and Greg Cramp.

Upon receiving this advice, HRV Stewards have invoked the provisions of Australian Rule of Harness Racing 183 and suspended the licences of Mr Shayne Cramp and Mr Greg Cramp with immediate effect. No horse trained or owned by Mr Shayne Cramp or Mr Greg Cramp is able to race or trial.

HRV Stewards have ordered the scratching of all of Mr Shayne Cramp’s runners engaged at the Mildura meeting tonight (February 3). Any change of trainer requests from owners who have been impacted by these events must be approved by HRV. Mr Shayne Cramp and Mr Greg Cramp have also been excluded under ARHR 15(1)(e) from attending any harness racing racecourse.

HRV CEO John Anderson said: “It is important that the tireless work of Integrity Manager Andy Rogers is recognised. He initiated this exercise almost a year ago and has maintained a confidential vigilance throughout. I also commend the Chairman of Stewards Neal Conder and his panel for their ongoing contribution to the investigation.”

Mr Anderson added: “I also wish to acknowledge the extensive commitment, dedication and tireless efforts of the whole team at the Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit led by Detective Sergeant Kieran Murnane.”

HRV respect the matters are now before the court and will be limiting any further comment.
