Was it a business decision? not wanting to clash with Greyville?
was it because they didnt know it was King George day?
was it to piss of the few punters they have left that punt the UK?

Ascot is no longer shown on ATR and it has never been shown on Racing UK. I think that they have a contract with Turf TV and Channel 4 and I assume that TT would have had to pay big bucks to screen Ascot, thus the going with York.
