I read on a thread that some horses are bought and others are pinhooked. What do you understand under 'pinhook'?

Well I'm sure some people on the site could explain better than me, but basically this means that the horse was bought with the intention of selling it on later (hopefully at a profit!); in this case most of these seem to have been 'pinhooked' as weanlings in Aus with the aim of reselling them here.
