Of the ones that raced I would bet my bottom dollar on HIGH EXPLORER being the one.Include in all your multiples a place as we don't know the potential of the unraced.
This wont go missing draw or no draw

If you get 5000 /10 000 take it

15/20 available C man...on the down side if the rumors are to be believed then there is only 2 places left for him to fill, the MDK horse with Anton up is a huge talking horse even tho the breeding on the dam's side would suggest that it needs a lot further imo...

Thank you Titch I also feel he needs further.15/20 is as good as you can get
Go place the bet !

Scottsville 13th August 2014 Selections.

Race 1 : Two facets to this race, firstly the exposed runners African Triumph and Highway Explorer (AUS) of the two I have a slight preference for Highway Explorer (AUS) purely on that 1st run, with improvement to come perhaps he could find the placings again. My attention has been drawn to the 1st timers here and specifically two runners, Aleppo Pine and Big Strike - we have to go back to 26th April 2014 when Marcus last won for the de Kock trainer on Majmu (AUS), can't recall when Marcus last won on a 1st timer for de Kock... Jooste's own the horse and there has been some money for Aleppo Pine which warrants plenty of respect however that being said my outright selection will have to be Big Strike, we all saw how well The Big Easy (AUS) and Masnoon (AUS) won. Out of the same Sire "Big Brown", slight concern for me though is the distance of 1200m, would probably much prefer 1400m upwards but still healthy respect must be paid and serious consideration should be taken when structuring your bets for the 1st. A smaller layout by taking a quartet 3;8 X 3;8 X 2;11 X 2;11 looks a safer option. Selection Big Strike X Aleppo Pine

Race 2 : Another race with a few 1st timers but in all honesty I don't see any of them in the number one box, Maria Theresa is bred superbly but so are a few others in this race. I'll stick with the exposed form runners here and the biggest appeal for me is Lily Gray, she loves the Scottsville course and has shown steady improvement, Anton rode her last time out and she was beaten by a very smart filly Aquila Jet who was expected to win. Selection Lily Gray X Flying Luxmi

Race 2
No wow factor here.Of the raced runners I would go pretty much the same as Winning Post, although an upset is possible with the top two untried over the extra 200m down the straight.Oy Yoi Yoi could earn

Race 3
Sad race this. Why did the race programmers choose this as the first leg of the P6.Would have been far more punter friendly if the order of the first three races be reversed.Malice ?

Continued... Scottsville 13th August 2014 Selections.

Race 3 : Surfing Belle's form line looks strong in this race, Celine has since come out to win albeit over 1400m. Once again the 1st timers make little appeal to me here and exposed form should see you through the 1st leg of the Pick6. Pearl Emblem looks to show improvement after a decent first run when finishing 7,50 lengths behind Gemstone Glamour, unfortunately that form line hasn't been as promising with only a 2nd by Obrega thereafter. Selection Surfing Belle X Pearl Emblem

Race 4 : A tricky looking affair this race but there are a few here with chances, Dark Eyes (AUS)makes appeal and although a filly taking on the boys looks above average, she beat Malrebellio as a two year old when taking on the boys, that form line has worked out nicely with Malrebellio franking the form. That said there are a few older hard knocking horses here and healthy respect must be shown to Threshold who seems to have many of these runners beaten on collateral form lines. There are many runners here whom have run to the likes of Eddie Sweat, Nigel Mansel, Chill, Jay Power, Cherry Tripper and Alboran Sea. Despite my better judgement in this contest I'll stick with Dark Eyes (AUS) purely on the form lines and 4.50 lengths behind Alboran Sea looks good enough for my money. Selections Dark Eyes (AUS) X Threshold

Race 5 : A race where you can bag the lot here, ladies, gentlemen, clanners or whatever you prefer to be called, Seeking the Dream will not get nor see out the 2400m, Overlord's Progeny have franked my statement and his progeny have occasionally won up to a mile. I guarantee this runner will not sniff a cent of stable money but I could be wrong. Let's have a look at the runners who can stay all day long, they are Chillingham, Your Worship, Supreme Leader, Kaildar, Magical Dynasty and Iceolite, boxed quartet with the six runners bar the favorite and you'll be collecting a nice dividend, all six must be included in the exotics. Selections Chillingham X Magical Dynasty

Continued Scottsville 13th August 2014...

Race 6 : MR90 Handicap for boys and girls :P Very competitive contest. Many of these runners can be described as the nearly there but just never made it. Goldie Coast has run 13 lengths to Beach Beauty and seems to enjoy this trip but 61 kg's for a filly taking on the boys, not a chance!!! Friar Tuck has been in very good form and despite taking on stronger here has won his last two very convincingly. Always Al from an inform Tarry stable seems to prefer the 1400m and could get into the action over the last furlong. Emperor Niarchos needs further so not worth considering. 1914 should be considered as he prefers the turf, he's last run came on the Polytrack and if reproducing he's penultimate start on the turf could be the right one here, Pyrotechnics is another who seems to prefer the turf over the Polytrack and should be considered. Although a very difficult looking contest I will be sticking with Friar Tuck. Selections Friar Tuck X 1914 X Pyrotechnics

Race 7 : Risky Rosco having his 2nd run after a rest so be careful, that said he was also very unlucky not to win last time out, he lost a length and was finishing like a rocket when cramped for room, it looked all over as a contest at the 300m mark and has to be considered here again. Roy Royale has been in very good form but his latest two efforts have come on the Polytrack. Not much else making any strong appeal and if the 2nd run after a rest "RULE" doesn't haunt Risky Rosco I make him my 2nd best bet for the day. Selections Risky Rosco X Sacred Jewel

Race 8 : My best bet for today comes in the form of Roman Ridge, IMO Chestnut Chief won't find the top four. Roman Ridge has scope for improvement and will go two better today and win a nice race, he gets Keagan de Melo aboard who's run many winners recently for Van Zyl. He's biggest danger will probably come from Yuries Gold. Selections Roman Ridge X Yuries Gold

Good luck to all with runners today!!!
