"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 6th April Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....

The 1st runner we wanted 1.9, and with being around 2.06 on arrival and then this meeting being abandoned due to the weather, we went to the next runner.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.4, and with being around 1.52 on arrival and although coming down to 1.42, we never see a penny matched at our lay price and so a race to avoid for all. The runner had to work very hard, but got the win and so a good leave.........

The 3rd runner we wanted 1.9, but a non runner and 9.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.82. The price had drifted to around 2.04 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid another race. The runner went and won a battle with the main danger, so another good leave.......

The 4th runner we wanted 1.16, and with being around 1.22 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 1.16. The price then drifted back out to our own price of 1.2 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won easily when the main danger pulled up, so the way it goes, but glad of the free bet now..........

The 5th runner was a non runner due to the abandonment of Hexham, so on to the next runner......

The 6th runner we wanted 2.8, and with being around 3.25 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so it was 'one that got away in hindsight'..........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 3.35 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 3.1. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.4, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade unseated rider when looking beaten and so a good result...........

The 8th runner was a non runner due to the abandonment of Hexham, so on to the next runner..........

The 9th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.94 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.94. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for another 'free' lay for traders. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.8, and with being around 2.56 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.56. The price then went for a big walk out to our own price of 3.1 and beyond, so yet another chance for traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result......

The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.1, but we never see our lay price and so a race to avoid. The runner went and won and so a good leave........

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.......................(3 from the first 3 (100%) went and won - So an awkward start, but we played it well, so nice play guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target..........They started their strategy/target on the 4th runner, then hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 10th runner), so they win 1 target on the session...

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that only bought relief, and that left 5 runner builders with an insufficient amount left, so they end levels.......4 runner builders then had another 'free' lay (the 7th runner) that was beaten, so they go a little ahead, but with then running out of enough potential lays themselves, they end with a tiny win of around 0.1 of a target...

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank £410

That's where they ended it with an insufficient amount of runners left to start a strategy.

Overall result. Win 0.1 of a target.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

That's where they had to leave it with an insufficient amount left for a strategy.

Overall result. Level.

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades and so they played it well...

So a very tricky start, but we came through it well and either broke level or hit our targets. Well played guys and speak in the morning....

5.20 Market Rasen. SINDANNA (2.44)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, she has shown a tendency to race prominently. Also please note that more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:30am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Not easy, but we never expect in to be, but at the same time we have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon..
