I am confused as anyone. Went down well and was relaxed saddling. Anthony says he went far too fast and was also worried he felt slightly off and then to compound it Billy chased Coffee Sheik up on his outside to take him on and they cut each others throats. Anthony was furious with Billy. It was a ride that you would not expect from a 1st year appie. He should either have gone past or stayed behind but not chase to get upsides and then sit together as that does neither horse any good. FFC is very lazy as well and if you stop riding him as Anthony did when thought there was something wrong he will stop like he has been shot. I have trotted him out now and not too much looks wrong. I will let you know what we find if anything.

Just had his normal vet in and he is very happy with the way he is trotting. Says the best he has seen him post race. Will just put a line through the run and crack on. As I said, after watching the race Anthony said he just went too fast early to get to the front and then taken on by Coffee Sheik and then thought he felt something so put his hands down. FFC then just stopped dead( he does that in work at home as well). Now he is jumping around the paddock like a 2yr old. Scottsville 14th here we come!

 I am sure Anton would love that. I appreciate that Anthony had the balls to just say I went too fast so we don't start looking for other reasons and miss the right one. I would not be scared to put him back on due to his honesty and obvious talent. He(FFC) is fresh, sound, eating and happy post race so I am putting it behind us and cracking on as normal.
