LOL... Take the stable companion to Sarve tomorrow in the form of ANGER.

SAMOGAN - You can thank me tomorrow ;)

but Blazing Al was catching Anger hand over fist in a 1000 ?

There are question marks around Anger??? mainly if he'll see out the trip against significantly stronger than anything he's run to before. In all honesty it's more hope than anything else colors, I've made plenty money on this horse in his last four outings and all they can do is win. He's just got stronger and stronger with each race and he's starting to control his temper and get his mind on the race, for instance he wasn't well in at the weights with Wolf in Winter in his last albeit at Flamingo but still defied the weight swing and won a super race going away, I was really impressed the way he settled and won. Tough is an understatement regarding his chances tomorrow however if he get's the opportunity to lead from the start I honestly believe he'll be impossible to run down the last furlong.

Another pointer, the Spies stable is in great form at the moment, three winners on the last Vaal Sand meeting and a third. Atso Time in the third tomorrow a 16/1 chance, I even give him a squeak just based on his first run... Not even the mighty Precursor can dream of a 0.575 seconds per meter stride, that's super impressive on debut and he can surely only get stronger.

Selections VAAL SAND 30th August 2014 {Races 1 and 2}

Race 1 : Slight preference for Spiaggia (BRZ) to get it right and finally win her maiden, has beaten Dawn Day twice and should finish in front of DD once again even although Striker now takes the ride on DD. Spiaggia also sports blinkers for the 1st time. [strike]Wolverina[/strike] cannot be overlooked and on breeding alone could be the horse to beat, Corne has been churning out these 1st timers and they're all winning, nothing more to really add. Chambers aboard so would naturally be the stable preference over Coral Key who has many lengths to find but has shown improvement since the blinkers have been fitted. HVAR another well bred filly and her odds have somewhat halved in the market, it would surprise me to see her win this race. Spellbound another well bred filly and her natural improvement from the last run and adaption to the surface could well see her in with a big chance. I have discarded the chances of the remaining 1st timers, maybe to my own detriment but I just can't see any of them winning this race, that said neither would have to be too special to win. Tentative Selections - [strike]Wolverina[/strike] X Spiaggia (BRZ) X Spellbound

Race 2 : Ahhhh.... the 2nd, for those that already know and are down, the best of luck to you!! This race has seemingly already been decided so save the your $$$ for another race and if you think I'm talking sewerage pipe, there are ten other runners to chose from so take your pick. Confident first selection for me but obviously this is racing and anything can happen as we all know too well. Best bet on the card for me, Selection - Southfork

[strike]The Spies/Chambers double somewhere around 12/1 which is a fantastic way to begin what looks a great days racing,[/strike] I'll post my remaining selections right after I collect my win ;) Good luck to all!!

Peekay, agree with you there. NM right field and right trip, was well out at the weights last time and the 1600 will suit better. 4/1 looks a great price.

Richie I hope you get on too.
