I also can't see them selling the flagship, but have been wrong before.
From purely a business point of view, we struggle to get people to the track and I am sure it's not cheap to keep open, so it could be an option but on the other hand many positive inputs being thrown at racing " in a rush " etc
So logically it would be silly to keep promoting and using cash to promote if the intention was to close
Ps but silly things have happened in the past with racing

Until they have to subsidise poor trading!!
Not selling
But could they be planning to handover to some trust ? Or gov body?
Just thinking aloud
Phumelela take the bets and continue to pay to stakes but a seperate body runs the tracks ?

The gambling commission suggested that the betting and operations might be better in different hands!

Its about time they got rid of Turffontein its situated in a now slum area , the wooden boxes are terrible those horses must never sleep , the dumping site is disgusting when I go there my eyes always burn . Its time to build a brand new world class facility, and that would already entice more people to go racing . Its time to say goodbye to the Old . Its time racing gets a whole new makeover !!

but building a new track in gauteng would not require this change in license, something smells funny here...
the real question is: why are casinos thriving whilst racing is dying?
