CNC what he actually said that the queues of folk lining to register to vote reminded him of when South Africa voted
The pro no vote press then proceeded to say he meant Scotland was like South africa

Being very neutral on this scenario, can someone seriously tell me what the gain is for Scots if there is a majority vote in favour.
I can understand the emotional pull to be independant but on simple plus/minus what has Scotland got to support itself.
Don't say Oil because that has a limit.

Of course your quite right.Stupid of me to forget Scotland's tow major exports with unlimited
resources.
I suppose it will be like that film 'Salmon fishing in the Yemen" and there was another film way back about the village smuggling whisky in the middle of the night. Can't remember the name?
That will keep the country going with the odd glass of heavy.

I did an earlier scotia post where I calculated the population vs scotch produced and it worked out 1 and a half bottles per day 7 days a week, so the plan is to drink your quota from 10.00 to 15.00 hrs daily and then have a big party singing Flower of Scotland for the rest of the day
So who needs politics and you have a happy nation

all good a well Dave, but when the Scottish Gov runs out of money to give to the scroungers then who is going to drink the whiskey as they wont have any money to pay for it.

PM is in Edinburgh pleading that we all vote NO. London has ignored Scotland for years and now that their jobs on the line are a crapping it big time. I think, like Bob, that it will be a No which at the moment will benefit Scotland in the long run as big companies are seriously weighing up their options on whether to stay or go if its a Yes. Ten of thousands of people will lose their jobs if that is the case.

The big diff is that there were 60 million voters in SA at that time whereas we have a mere 4.5 million and there will be no ques outside the polling stations. All you will see outside the polling stations are old folks rubber necking to see who is voting. Salmond is playing dirty. Today I saw a NO THANKS poster defaced with the word YES graffiti on it.

The No vote now leads in the opinion poles after Salmond was caught out yet again last night with his crap about the pound. More and more massive companies are saying that the will leave Scotland thus creating a jobless society once again (just as unemployment is falling)
