My two value bets for tomorrow:
Race 2: Pearl Valley at 6/1. Good debut, should improve. Has China Beach to beat. Both have nice draws, so decent swinger bet too.
Race 6: Africa Blue at 5/1. Ran on well last time. Up in class but well in at the weights. Rodeo Sioux is consistent, and if not needing it after two month break, is the main danger.

7/4 about a horse beaten by double figure lengths in all 4 of his visits to the course, up against some reasonable opposition here? Has fair form elsewhere and stable has been coming back to some better form but at the prices, for me, R4 Dynamite Jim, is a brass

The Joburg card is a vey difficult card, I think R7, Heart Of Lion is good value, if repeating the form we know he is capable of reproducing, no race.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I think the eachway value in the 4th could be with crew and in tune too,,,crews runs on grass without the blinkers have been ok only concern will he stay ,on the other hand in tune to has his 3rd run back and will stay ..hopefully he goes down like last time where he strode out nicely as he has had soundness issues in the past...3 of the top 4 in the betting got beaten by a 50 to 1 opah latino last time so they have their limitations and as has been mentioned dynamite jims better runs seem to be at the vaal inide and turf outer tracks with the longer run in...

Race 2 Pearl Valley.
Was drawn wide last time and Sturgeon got caught 5 deep at one stage before slotting in near the back. She jumped fine and was sensible throughout. She did quicken in the straight.
China Beach fought for her head and never really settled. I think over 1450m she will really battle to stay if she does not settle.
Purely on what I saw in that race I think Pearl Valley will reverse it with China Beach.
My concern is that the time of the race was slow on the day and everything else from the formline has been thumped by big margins subsequently (bar China Beach).
I agree with Peter though that Pearl Valley represents value.

I think this is the one to beat in the race, 11/2 is good value

pleasantly surprised to see some early comments and explanations
Dean... R4 we concur and we concur on the pic too
Pirates... R4 we concur on In Tune Too. Was disappointed the price had already moved to 16s from 25s but the late bird only gets the crumbs
Bayern... R7 we concur on Heart Of Lion
Bayern, Peter, Harris... R2 I concur that Pearl Valley has a very decent chance and I too am wary of backing China Beach, the horse just never convinces me, could win but will do so without my support. The stable form is a big concern (and again sadly my tardiness has cost me, and the value has somewhat gone) but at 20s I thought Inkolo was not to be overlooked, if you go back a way and ignore the last 5 (1800 possibly too far, possibly not sand suited and three very poor draws) then on the earlier form and from the 1 box here improvement is quite possible. the form from 2 of the 3 races where he was drawn wide have also worked out quite well. At 12s, with the current stable form, he is less appealing but still could be a runner in a weak field and definitely not one I would leave out of exotics etc.
