E P Kings

On First Call this morning Mr Neil Andrews, who I admit is not my favourite person, took the opportunity to sarcastically denigrate the performances, to date, of the E P Kings. This while he was in discussion with MacGregor the so called Football specialist.
It is very easy to citicise the Kings performance but you have to take into account that it was only on February 13th this year that it was confirmed that Kings would be playing in the Vodacom Premiership Division.
This meant that it was only then that the Team's Management could find players who had not already been snapped up and commit to contracts etc.
In addition the assembly and training of a competitive squad could only start then.
You would think that Andrews would take this on board as an allegedly expereienced Sports commentator. However if you have a penchant for liking to hear the sound of your own voice you wouldn't bother too much about the facts.

some truly fantastic rugby and cricketers have haled from the Eastern Cape in the past. Graeme Pollock, Gavin Cowley, Schalk Burger the lock, Spook Hanley, Kenny Watson, Pote Human, Johan Heunis (the bulls stole him) Robbie Armitage plus plenty more
