In this week’s International Feature we travel to Scotland, AYR racecourse to be precise. The annual Ayr Gold Cup festival runs from Thursday 18 September to Saturday 20 September, with the Ayr Gold Cup being the main event on the final day. This six furlong Heritage Handicap Handicap is supported by the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes (1200m), the Listed Doonside Cup Stakes (2000m) and one more Listed race which is the Harry Roseberry Stakes set to take place over five furlongs. The 1st course and distance sprint of the 3 day meeting was won very easily from the high draw

interesting card today were I will be abstaining

Multiple trainer entries help to confuse this meeting which seems normal lately for Goldie but he might just be targeting 4.20 (R5) which he has won last 2 runnings with his only entry JOHNNY DELTA.

J J Quinn has done well with his runners last 2 seasons at Ayr.

Early support for Dodds runner in the first LORD OF THE ROCKS. He has won this race twice in the past and this year has probably the best first time out 2yo record of any with 5wins / 2place from 13 runs

George Bowen will go very close in the 2:05 (3:05 sa )

HONEYSUCKLE LIL at Ayr. The last time it ran this horse made me a few bob (which I tipped up prior to the race) ran green then finished off the race very well. Expecting another good run at 12/1 so now may go ahead a take a each way

Blaine, Mass Rally and Racy are my 3 for the big race

Ladbrokes are going 1/4 the odds first 6 places

Like BLAINE also (think winner could come from double figure draw and 9st plus) also have a bit of a fancy for EASTERN IMPACT although 3yos got lousy record.

Looking for J J QUINN to carry on his good work with FORCED FAMILY FUN (last race) and maybe couple with POETIC VERSE (R5) at Catterick -- his only runners for today.

Cumani seems to target the Dubai Duty Free having a very good record so his ROSEBERG with Atzeni up is worth a look although maybe a bit short @ 9/2
