BW Account Holders probably got the Big Prices and then BW probably got screwed because they cant get anything back on what they were laying by the time the official betting got out. . So to stop that they most probably just thought to hell with it we'll price up with every one else.

that reasoning doesnt hold any water..because when a bookie prices up...he must be prepared to lose at least 20 k on any horse he has priced up on,and not depend on taking back anything...after all they are betting to %'s way better than what they are laying anyway..

I agree a bookmaker should be prepared to lose 20K. But think about it. BW has how many branches and how many Clients with accounts. As soon as the Betting goes live how many People do you think try to get on that price on the internet alone, that excludes Punters waiting in the branches for betting to open. compared to a private bookmaker who has 1 branch somewhere and a few phone clients. You can see why they'd pull their ante post because like i said. they get screwed on a larger price and cant get anything back in the end. because every else has opens up at the low price.

oh yea Broken Mug can still hold some water :P

i think...each big concern and the way its going in kzn anyway...the small independant bookie will be wiped out very soon...so i say each big concern, should employ someone to do their betting all independantly and lay what is in their books instead of shortening a horse that they have not laid a cent off,but another bookie has....right now its equivalent to price fixing and we all know how the big conglomerates are paying fines for that

Have they officially stopped doing the betting ? They like the owners Phumelela. No communication at all. Phumelela blamed the bookmakers for everything and now BW blaming the bookmakers for copying the betting. Why not just get on with the job?

Shana Tova to you to. BW lay 20k of a horse to cash forecast. I spent every Monday/Thursday refreshing the site. I am no genius but it was great while it lasted. It was on a first come first served basis. With the official betting the right horse get claimed before the betting even goes up at Hollywood or BW.

As far as chavar ? I got no friends in this game and not looking to make any.

rg I don't know what liability they can afford but have been told by bookmakers that are involved in the claims that they show a loss every month on them ..hence the claims have been cut from the original amounts

1 independant bookie in dbn..will lay 50k of any horse..but only to mr cash...know he did his balls with olma..but in a game of swings and rounabouts..got back some of it with duncans 1 in the last...bookies will talk about the ones they got caught at....but forget about the ones that they made on...1 annoying thing about bookies is that the horse u looking for is always the 1 that they full up with
