Do we still have a Post Office in SA?

It must have been 4 weeks since we have had mail and I understand that they have cleared some of the back log by just destroying the mail?

The strike culture in SA is shocking in all areas, service delivery etc etc

I have to laugh at these big fancy breakfast shows they have on job creation with steering commitees etc

The bottom line is great to create jobs but no good if the culture is to down tools the day after.

This is about the 4th strike this year.
I wish someone would tell Post Office employees that letter writing is on the decline and they should try to improve their service and look after us.
I am fed up as I collect vinyl records and my parcels get delayed.

And COSATU and the Government decide that they must spring into action when the wannabe actors on Generations go on strike but when something so essential as the Postal Service does the same for months they do nothing!! Probably busy watching Soap Operas ! Their salaries should be posted to them then you'd see the strike being dealt with( I have a personal interest as 90 % of my sales go through the SAPO)

Have a laugh reading this Site - I have no idea what these people are doing - Started using courier companies instead but my poor customers still have product lost in the SAPO system

The sad thing about this strike is that the longer it continues the more people realise that this is not a service that will be missed.

It should be a wake up call for these workers to look after their jobs by providing an uninterrupted and efficient service (something that will truly be missed) if they wish to still have employment in future.

We do have a shocking work ethic and culture in our country which is exposed every year through strike action.

I'm now paying R35 for a better service than the PO charge R76 for and they come to me to collect so no waiting!!

It also has a ripple effect.
When I had a small op in March,certain expense were excluded by medical aid.
The accounts dept of Olivedale clinic and Lancet laboratories just sent accounts every month BY POST,but obviously got no response.

In spite of having E-Mail address and phone numbers they just handed over to attorneys for collection.Both accounts were paid immediately but at a fee to them.............thinking has become a completely lost art!!!!

Why would accounts be sent by post?
