Bob I've lost count of how many horses flop in Kimberly on the dirt only come out and sh! t in in joburg next run. Precisely why I put a line thru Tommy guns last run. Before that Tommy was unbeaten in 2 runs on the VAAL sand. His last Vaal run he beats HENRY HIGGINS by 10 lengths. Henry Higgins is a 10 time winner !!!
So on that run alone he had to have a big shout. Frodo also fancied this horse but because there was NO MONEY FOR THE HORSE he left it alone.
I on the other hand backed him at 14s in the week and took advantage of the 22 /1 offered on race day.Tommy drawn 3 ANGER drawn in the bush, was a no brainer between the two stablemates.
I WAS NOTTHE ONLY ONE WHO WAS BULLISH ABOUT TOMMY G, there were a few others on the site as well.

Hey Elvis I also gave Tommy a chance
But my point is how to explain results like these to the sports bettors or new punters that are just getting started with form reading etc

Agreed Bob, but this horse should never have been 20's plus in all honesty. A bookie cock up I think.

.....form and ped wise not a bad sort at all......the Kimberly flop and getting negative "rats and mice" press threw many off his chances to take the sand pit crown.....

Depends how in depth he wants it explained really Bob!
The question I would be asking is... why did they run the horse at Bingo?
