Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows........

The 1st runner we wanted 1.14, and with being around 1.19 on arrival and only getting slightly bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner won easily, and so a good leave.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.6 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The price then took a turn and drifted out to our own price of 2.8 and beyond, so a chance now for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was a nicely beaten 3rd, so a good result........

The 3rd runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.73 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well enough, so another good leave........

The 4th runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.4 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was easily beaten, so the late drift justified and beat race to racers to the punch. Grr!. Early traders happy though.......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 3.0 on arrival and although the price dropped, it never dropped anywhere near enough, and with not seeing a penny matched at our lay price, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly another good leave.......

The 6th runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.53 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly another good leave........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 3.15 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 3.15 max. The lay was a nicely beaten 3rd, so a good result..........

The 8th runner we wanted 2.9, and with being a well supported 2.68 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.68. The lay came in 2nd and so a good result.....

The 9th runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 4.6 on arrival and although tumbling down in price, the price never quite came as low as we wanted at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner crashed out of the race, so hope he's OK, but a case of 'so close' for layers, but 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 10th runner we wanted 3.0, and with drifting to around 3.1 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it........

The 11th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.28 on arrival, getting bigger, and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 2.2. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders again got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it........

The 12th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 4.1 on arrival and although tumbling down, it still never came anywhere near our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner ran a poor race and was easily beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......

The 13th runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting around 3.15 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.15 max. The lay was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result.......

The 14th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 2.9 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.9. The race is around 30 minutes away, so with all strategy play completed and just a bit of trading on offer, I'm leaving it there, so good luck traders with these last pair of runners...

VERY WELL PLAYED...................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - 4 from the first 6 (66.66%) went and won - 6 from the first 11 (54.5%) - and so it was very tough, but pleased to say we bobbed and weaved through well to get the wages, so well played guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target...............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 7th runner)................They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 8th runner, and after a good start, then a couple of poor results, they ended up breaking level on their 4th lay (the 13th runner) and so with being levels with just one potential lay left, and no room at all for any error, they walked at levels. So they end up winning 1 target on the session...

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 7th runner) at 3.15 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets............Then came their 2nd lay (the 8th runner) at 2.68, and a good result see them hit their targets....

Traders

So yet another tough day with plenty of winners to weave around, but builders played a blinder and got the wages, so well played guys. Rollers also hit one and then battled to a draw, so they walk away winning a target and that's very good looking back. Well played guys as it's very tough this time of year, so we'll hope to nick a bit tomorrow and then have a nice little break. Good luck this evening, and traders finishing off, and I'll speak again in the morning...

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:07am.

That's what we have to work n for this afternoon then, and a mixture of make ups etc to keep us on the ball. Again we're vulnerable to heavy gambles and drifts, but as it stands we have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum, and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
