Bob, you will be surprised to know that about 25 years back and P.E. and KIM would never be on that list.

A seasoned punter who was battle-hardened when I was just learning the ropes quoted many years ago that P.E. was " Gymkhana Racing ". :lol:

Yes.....and I recall there used be a race (usually the last), in the Western Cape, called the "Cape Hunt" race.
Would that be similarly to the Gymkhana stuff.

Mike Bass, Chris Snaith, Justin Snaith, Riaan van Reenen, Glen Kotzen and Nathan Kotzen and a couple of other SA top horseman originated from the Cape Hunt Racing and all were major players there before racing.... I was also lucky enough to ride a winner at Durbanville in the Cape Hunt and let me tell you, it was dirty and competitive but a lot of fun riding against those whylie old horsemen!
