Cesarewitch Handicap 2014
10 years 8 months ago
The Cesarewitch Handicap is run at Newmarket on Future Champions Day over two miles and two furlongs, and is open to horses aged three years and older. Established in 1839, the Cesarewitch is one of the highlights of the latter part of the fixture list as it is usually an ultra-competitive field with runners often reaching the limit of 34. Punters who enjoy betting in big-runner handicaps often enjoy betting in the Cesarewitch with big prices offered on a whole number of horses, meaning each-way betting is very popular in the race. The preview is proudly brought to you by Hollywoodbets.net and Winning Form.

Spice Fair is my choice to win this year at 33/1 but Saddlers Rock even with top weight may be the each way value at around 25/1..... Can't wait, what a race!

"Apart from its rich and colourful heritage, what makes the Cesarewitch Handicap so interesting is that for such a long race it is run straight for most of the way except for a single bend at the 10 furlong mark. The course it follows straddles two English counties – Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. This means that the field sets off in Cambridgeshire and crosses the finish line in Suffolk.
