I agree 100% with over the air imo seems a great guy but hasn't fulfilled his promise he showed as an appie not sure if its a confidence issue, we all take knocks in life but its about how we bounce back from it

2014 he has either lost the support of the big yards or has chosen to cut back on his riding engagements.
He no longer travels outside of KZN
i would speculate without knowing that his weight is an issue
and since he no longer rides for big yards the quality of horses he rides has dropped and so would his success rate.

This could be true I dont know. What I was trying to say before the know it alls got all heated under the collar because I dared give an opinion, is that he has has not delivered on his earlier promise. At one stage I thought he would be better than his cousin.

You talk from your pocket you chop you are the know it all.

Bob maybe you see this differently in Scotland, here I would consider that an attack/insult. One of many eminating from Blondie, who clearly has taken a shine to my posts.I take it from whence it comes, clearly the author does not have the mental capacity to answer civilly.

Notice when Muis Roberts has a horse in with a chance he is now putting Brandon up.
Otherwise he uses appies.
What is good enough for Muis -is good enough for me.

I would be very surprised if he considered my post an attack, in fact it would be good to get his views on the ride. It may educate me.

I thought Craig Eudey had already gave you an explanation from the yard ?

Bob, with respect, my eyes are perfectly functioning despite my advancing age.

Coughing because of polytrack kickback does not answer the question for me. The question should rather be why did he receive the kickback he did after being slow away and then choosing the route that he did. The horse ran on, clearly he wasn't unduly troubled by the situation he found himself in.

Frank Robinson is a gentleman and I suspect old school values apply here regarding commenting on a jockeys ride and I understand that.

Guys what is wrong with you all? OTA has given an opinion and made somewhat strenuous attempts to justify that opinion. Which, imo, is far better and more acceptable from a "debate" point of view than many (not all!!) who seem to hold an opposing opinion, some of those seem to revert to a little mud slinging in OTA's direction. Why??? His view is that BL has not fulfilled all the promise he showed as an apprentice. He has not called him a cheat. He has not insulted him. He is, depending on how you choose to read it, asking for an explanation which might help BL finally fulfil that potential. Maybe BL is low on confidence, maybe he isn't getting the best rides, maybe he just isn't as dedicated as once he was, maybe he finds riding on the poly tough as opposed to turf. Who knows but I see nothing wrong in the original comment. The answer though OTA is to just put a line through his rides until you think the wheel has turned again. Personally, without the expert's eye, I have been disappointed with some of the results of horses under BL of late, it would be unusual for there not to be a link. Have I reached the stage where I would not back a horse he is riding, no, but, whereas I saw his booking as a positive not so many moons ago, that is not the case currently.
