"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 13th April Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....

The 1st runner we wanted 1.46, and with being around 1.65 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave........

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.6, and with drifting to around 1.74 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price again and so another race to avoid. The runner went and won, so another good leave.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 20.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.14. The price was around 2.1 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.1. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.44 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so the way it goes, but glad of the free lay now..........

The 4th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being a well supported 2.4 on arrival and slightly shorter, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so yet another favourite goes in, and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The price then went back the other way and out to our own price of 3.0 and very slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won a battling finish, so yet another favourite goes in, but glad of the free lay............

The 6th runner we wanted 3.45, but a non runner and 11.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.18. The price had drifted to around 4.4 on arrival and never came back down to us, so race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner came in 2nd and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.2, but a non runner and 14.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.88. The price was around 2.92 on arrival and the dropped back down to us, so we had a lay at 2.88. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.18 (was 3.5 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result......

The 8th runner we wanted 2.5, but a non runner and 10.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.34. There was then another non runner and further 2.8% reduction, so we now wanted a lay price of 2.3. The price was around 2.1 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

The 9th runner we wanted 2.0, and with drifting to around 2.26 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to race players to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though........

The 10th runner we wanted 1.5, but a non runner and 4.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.48. There was then another non runner and further reduction of 4.1% and so we now wanted a lay price of 1.46. The price was around 1.57 on arrival and only came down to 1.48, so not a penny matched at our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......

The 11th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 14.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.45. The price was around 3.55 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner ran a poor race and was easily beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 12th runner we wanted 1.46, but a non runner and 2.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.45. The price was around 1.79 on arrival and never came anywhere near our lay price, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well, so a good leave........

The 13th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 20.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.35 (2.36 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.56 on arrival and then came down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.36 max. The lay looked to have lost in a photo, but got the verdict, so totally frustrating but the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......

The 14th and final runner we wanted 2.0, but a non runner and 5.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.95. The price was a well supported 1.77 on arrival and so we had a lay at 1.77. The lay looked in trouble, but battled to a win, so again totally frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders again got their trade back prices in running and so got away with it.....

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED...................(5 from the first 5 (100%) went and won - 6 from the first 10 (60%) went and won - and 9 from the 14 (64.5%) in total, so ultra tough and glad to be going on holiday after getting away with it....)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) ended up level............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after 3 winners on the bounce, they then recouped a little on their 4th lay (the 7th runner), and then with going to their 5th and final lay (the 8th runner) at 2.1 max, they recouped to either end 0.1 of a target down at worst, or break level............Then then ran out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, and so ended the session level...

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 3rd runner) that only bought relief..........They then had their 1st lay (the 4th runner) at 2.4 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........Then came another 'free' lay (the 5th runner) which only bought relief............They then had yet another 'free' lay (the 7th runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 2nd lay (the 8th runner) at 2.1 max, and a good result see them break level...........They then had their 3rd lay (the 13th runner) at 2.36 max, but a poor result see them go behind.............They then had their 4th lay (the 14th runner) at 1.77, but another poor result see 4 and 5 runner builders concede 2.4 targets at worst, and not a bad result looking back!..........

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they played a blinder and made a bit. Well done guys...

So ultra tough with all those winners, and glad to be going away for a week now! Glad to say it was either a small loss, small win, or breaking level this session, so thankful for small mercies and we played it as well as we could. Have a good evening and speak next Saturday...Phew...
