Horse Chestnut went overseas and got injured and a few others too now Variety Club retired due to injury

IS MIKE DE KOCK AS GOOD AS EVERYONE THINKS????

I HAVE MY DOUBTS, HE JUST HAS THE OWNERS BACKING HIM, WITH GOOD HORSES.

JAMES GOODMAN WILL DO AS GOOD JOB AS MDK IF HE HAD THE SAME HORSES DIFFERENCE THEY WONT GET INJURED

Variety Club won in Dubai and won in Hong Kong, was a really bad traveler, retired the 2nd best horse on ratings on the planet and the Hong Kkng win was maybe the greatest ever overseas victory by a South African horse

HorseChestnut chipped or fractured a bone from what I remember

This last week Ap O'brien , John Gosden and godolphin have all had horses retired through injury ,shit happens

Mike de Kock made it with inexpensive horses. His name does not crop up on the top buyers' names at the sales. Horse Chestnut, and other progeny of Fort Wood, were owner-bred following a meeting with the Oppenheimer's, de Kock (when he was still a small fry) and their coastal trainers as to what to do because the O's were embarrassed of their racing performance at the time. His strike rate is deadly and maintained.

If memory serves James had that good horse Last Watch who won a Gr 1 for him and then broke down on the track so I think blaming a trainer for injuring a horse is short sighted - It can happen to anyone

Horses and athletes get injured, bottom line! Have a look at all the casualties internationally over the past month, Wise Dan, Australia and the list goes on! Remember, Dynasty also broke down with Kannemeyer and and and, such is sport. This is a pathetic topic to say the least as Mike De Kock is a feared man worldwide when he raids, he is respected and a master of his trade! Everyone needs the stock to be competitive but Mike De Kock just gets that extra out of them. His same string of horses in KZN Gauteng Dubai UK wherever don't really fire unless he is around and putting in max effort.. When De Kock himself is around, they fire!

Having been in racing myself and well connected in the UK and SA, trust me, MDK IS A LEGEND and IS JUST THAT MUCH BETTER than most of his peers. Also, as stated above, he has the stock because he has proven to be worthy of it and does amazing things with his stock!

I could go on forever about what a legend MDK is and we are blessed to have a trainer like him opening bolted doors worldwide...

Seriously??? Is this a topic to be discussed??

Mike de Kock is by a country mile the best trainer to ever come out of SA and also probably one of the best trainers the world has seen, the results speak for themselves!!
