I'm not saying the Lottery is fixed but.....

Like so many other suckers out there I play the Lottery....
I often notice that there are common numbers in the Lottery and Lottery Plus draws. Sometimes it's only one number, a few times two but yesterday it's THREE.....
Now, given that these draws are done minutes apart on two separate machines and two different ball sets ( or so we are made to believe ) this amounts to one hell of a coincidence or......

one of the biggest cons ever. About 10 years ago we used to have a large Xmas lotto draw with the years numbers. The person read the numbers out before the ball had even dropped out and they made the excuse of a time delay. How many times is there a roll over the week before the end of the month and in the holidays they love having double roll overs as people tend to spend more that time of the year. Not that long ago the prize for getting 3 numbers paid out more than getting 4 numbers. Rip off at £2 a ticket

What about multiple roll overs and then 1 WINNER!!
I don't even bother playing the lotto these days

Example Nevan this coming Tuesday the euro million draw jackpot will be about £143 million. The UK is due a winner so I suspect that there will be a 1 ticket winner from somewhere in the UK.

What is more amazing is multi rollovers and then 8,9. or 10 winners.
South African lotto players have been statistically proven to be the luckiest in the world......lol

My problem is that I play the same numbers and have been since 1994 when the lotto started. In those days you could not play on line so whenever I was out of the country I would crap myself as I could not get my lines on. Thank heavens the numbers did not come up when I was not around. Now its all on line so no worries when I am away.

That's what i find most amazing, the odds of being a jackpot winner are millions to 1, SA had 17 jackpot winners in the same draw. The most i play is R 14.00, and that is when the jackpot is paying 10 bar or more - maybe the Gods of Delusion will smile on me.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

The odds are just short of 14 million to one, however although the odds are the same for each combination the human element is that number 7 tends to be a "lucky" number to many and this can influence the number of winners
Eg if 7, 17, 27 all arrive u can expect more winning tickets

When Gidani won the bid to licence the product i thought here is my chance to become a millionare since most of the shareholders are from the Eastern Cape.

Similar logic applies with months of the year and dates (1-31). People love choosing birthdays.
Payouts likely larger if there are a couple of higher numbers in the draw.
