Exactly what I was meaning pirates, the more information as possible

But the operators will say too expensive, just like they are going to charge for sectional timing

The point i think is quite simple, how do you grow the business of betting on horses? Invest in the reporters to go and watch the gallops and interact with trainers and jockeys and make it mandatory for the yards to give feedback on their runners.

Imagine Pirates taking on this task and doing a comments column in the "Pirates Betting Form", that coupled with his inside info, shrewd form studying, The Magi's outsiders, Bayerns odd 10/1 shot and we would all have a punt. :)

Further examples of insider trading in South African Racing were broadcast on Tellytrack during the past week-end.

1. Race 2, Fairview, Friday 24th October 2014

Returning from a 268 day lay-off, the horse Boardwalk Classic won in clear-cut fashion. In his winning interview, jockey Grant van Niekerk made the following statement: “…Yvette told me that they injected him with some stuff this morning,… it certainly worked.”

Do the NHRA permit the injection of ‘stuff’ on the morning of the race to aid the horse? And if this was not an illegal act, surely there is a duty upon the sport to divulge this information to the customer at the opening of the betting?

2. Race 2, Turffontein, Saturday 25th October 2014

The unraced horse Light The Way won under a great ride by Gunter Wroggeman. The information given to the public on Tellytrack prior to the race was: “…will run green.” The horse attracted no market support and after winning his trainer said: “…I am pleasantly surprised.”

Yours sincerely,

Charles Faull

I fully agree.

What about the two St. J. de Gray winners quite recently ridden by the Honourable JP van der Merwe.

Both complete outsiders !

With regards to "Light the Way".

Then we still get some members who say that if Wrogemann gets better rides, he will have more winners.

If Khumalo can work hard enough to win the Jockey Championship, what's wrong with Wrogemann ??

All good in theory, but just from this forum i have come to the realization that you will never please everyone.

Let's sat trainer gets it wrong, says horse needs a run and it wins by 5 lengths. Said trainer will be lambasted on this forum.

Not sure who said it but I agree the bookies have the most ton lose and that in itself will stop trainers giving out too much info.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!
