AUTOCRATIC 'GOVERNING' BODIES OF RACING
17 years 1 month ago
Having been in the racing and breeding industry for over 40 years, it concerns me that the governing bodies, despite name changes etc. are as autocratic as ever.
Their imperious and dictatorial attitudes 'suck', and I despair that the situation will ever change.
Any thoughts on how the high-handed behaviour of these 'governing' bodies can be stopped would be gladly debated - but, in some instances, for obvious reasons, preferably moved to private email.

Well you have come to the correct Forum, not sure how long you have been reading the posts, but it is very difficult to get replies from "the powers that be" but we keep knocking at the door. Anything in specific you have a problem with?

Hi 'Scotia' .. have read enough of the posts over the past month or so (and historical ones) to think that I HAVE come to the right place - not that I expect any answers here from 'The powers that be' ... but am hopeful of meeting some like-minded people who BELIEVE that change IS possible.

Welcome aboard, in fact I think we have made a difference, people might not post here, but they certainly read the posts, take action, then take credit???
It would be nice if you could add your name to "who are you".
Thanks
scotia

Hi again 'Scotia' .. thanks for the "welcome aboard" ... I will, in due course, add my details to the "who are you" thread .. but, at the moment, owing to somewhat 'sensitive' issues, I would like to remain incognito.
I am open to correction, but I think that my email address is viewable here, and I welcome any correspondence from parties who do have a genuine interest in seeing things change and, in 1-2-1 emails, some matters can be discussed more privately.
As I said in my initial posting (above), I have been in the game for over 40 years ... I am NOT going to go down some of the public roads that I have in the past - only to have a representative of one of the PTBs (Powers that Be) hold up a "NO ENTRY" sign ... that is, not until I have a 'permit to proceed'!!! LOL

They sound just like our wonderful PM, Brown, and his Government..must be a nice lot of trusting and reliable chaps then.
