R1 Always weary of the first timers but for me it'll take a good one to beat Power To Please who also has the likely advantage of the 1 box.

R2 Look out for "Agent" activity. If the first timer has a poor start then stablemate Jet Revez could take the spoils having shown decent, though certainly not spectacular, improvement of late.

R3 The form line of Morning Light's debut run has worked out particularly well and I will go with her to enhance it further. Camara Park for me the most likely to be the spoiler and Ratatouille for the trifecta.

R4 Saint Donan very much looks the right one to me here and if PTP can do me a favour in the first it will do the form no harm. Seven Oceans to see off Without Permission for second.

R5 ????? Lane Frost my small e/w for interest bet

R6 Backed her a couple of times recently and not been best pleased in one way or another, with BFH now up I will definitely stick with Silver Image although JR did not sound overly bullish about her chance. Stablemate Dandyman Can is currently a decent price imo should the rain come early enough, from a good draw in 2... watch the skies! :) but could be competitive anyway and a JR exacta a distinct possibility. Freezing Point the most likely to upset his party.

R7 Not opposing Dynamic

R8 WP has been a friend to the Clan many times so I am happy to go with his selection especially as I was no more certain on this race than I was with R5. Silver Salver and Simply Black could be in the vicinity and Bold Var is possibly one to watch if the rain has arrived. Having done me a big favour the other week, Triple Bluff will also see a small idiot wager and I certainly don't think he is without hope, potentially has a good low draw here having won his maiden from the 10 box at Durbanville.

R9 I am hoping the rain has come and if so, I think Changing Heart is a very decent e/w price, comes back down in trip and has won 3/6 over c/d, the only times she has won in 23 career runs. Has Cuvee Brut and Sapphire Gem to beat. If wet, a very small idiot on La Callisto who returns from 43 weeks off. Takes a huge drop in d but, in easily her best performance to date, won her maiden in her only "wet" run, over 1400 at Greyville, the stable has also had one or two surprise winners in recent weeks if memory serves me right.

Be(s)t of luck to all

You always hear trainers saying how difficult it is when travelling for an out of province season, so i can only assume this one must have some talent otherwise they would have left it in KZN and taken another horse they thought has a fair chance of pulling off a win or two.

No .. might win but that's not the first timer I am waiting for.

Power to please will be hard to beat. I think this one will start shorter tomorrow

Lahnee the drop to 1000m is a negative

Morning chaps

I fancy Power to Please strongly today..drop to 5furlong could be a worry but i think if it gets away well it will take a decent sort to catch him.
Karl on the 1st timer and not on the one with some form..related to whiteline fever.
Doesnt have to be too good to win here.
Gonna follow line break..gelding could be anything.
Dynamic is the obvious choice but i do think Catkin will make him run.
House of Lorraine to place.
Cuvee Brut won very well last time out..My p6 banker.

Nice and cool today, definately gonna rain later but not so windy.
Good luck today.

A roughie I'm hoping will place today is Just Al.

He's looked lacklustre in his 3 efforts after a break but returns to his optimum c & d, looks to be drawn well, has a light weight and gets blinkers back on.

10 to 1 a place not a bad price.

Double for me today is Power to Please and Saint Donan. If you ask your bookie nicely you can still get 6/1.
