Just started looking at tomorrows card and looking through the trainers pre race comments and Ramsden just released his at there's an interesting one for the first race.

DEARLY BELOVED:
I have had a good look at the field and there are many horses with similar form to him. He only has to pick up his feet and reproduce his home work to win a race like this. However, I would be extremely happy if he runs a place and gives us a good pointer to the future as to where we are heading with him. Fingers crossed he does get his act together and puts in a decent effort.

Make of it what you want but the horse is at 50/1 with 11/2 on a place(4 paying). Worth a couple Rands I feel, Ramsden usually not far off with these comments.

In the 1st, i would be prepared to have a punt on the Drier first timer and favourite, The Tripster. You always hear trainers saying how difficult it is when travelling for an out of province season, so i can only assume this one must have some talent otherwise they would have left it in KZN and taken another horse they thought has a fair chance of pulling off a win or two.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Also another mindless bet off the pre race comments. After the last meeting and the conglomerate @12/1 I will happily follow this mans every word B)

SET YOUR SIGHTS:
On his work at home, I will be gutted if he cannot finish in the first three or four as he is doing that well and we can go from there.

10/1 e/w

After the Drier first timer a couple days ago and all the hype and his pre race comments it's far too risky for me at those odds to trust one of his first timers again.

Well that didn't last long, most bookies just cut in half. Still think 33/1 at a couple places is decent value. Eat up 50/1 if you find it.

R5, Brave Leader even though it jumps from draw 10, that's my punt for the day. It's last two runs have been in plated races against stronger.

Race 1 - Wide open race this one, power to please looks the pick of the raced runners but be wary of the new comers, Aces united could have a say as well as The tripster. Dearly beloved at 50's my play in this one though.

Race 2 - Tough race to call, new comers look like they'll have the final say in this one. Would steer clear though.

Race 3 - Evil woman looks good in this race with the competition coming from the Crawford runner morning Light. Bass reckons Outrage could make improvement over preferred distance so @50's maybe some place value there.

Race 4 - Saint donan looks the strongest here but without permission could offer some value if he continues to drift in the market. Aldabara Run to have an outside chance here @25's.

Race 5 - Really like Line break here, should go close again. Can make a case for a couple of the other runner but Set your sights could have the e/w value @10's.

Race 6 - Another very open race where a lot of horses have a chance. Freezing point my play here @4's e/w. very consistent horse and the step up in distance should suit here.

Race 7 - Tough to look past Dynamic here, shouldn't miss. Sheer trouble could go closest and complete the exacta.

Race 8 - Firm favorite here is Mint master but hasn't run on the turf before so don't think the odds are worth it. Money coming in for the Snaith runner the Jet who has had some decent runs of late. Silver Salver has a shot if fit too.

Race 9 - Early money in here for Curvee Brut and looks the one to beat. Sister Lynn for the e/w chance.

No .. might win but that's not the first timer I am waiting for.

Power to please will be hard to beat. I think this one will start shorter tomorrow
