Chicken it`s the same in the UK fillies can run in the colts races but not the other way round OBV

I agree but do you not think a little too soon after this run? I wonder if the Met will be in their plans - If she won that then WOW!!

mdk said in the interview that the met was in her plans but would discuss it with connections...paddock stakes met probably be the plan then back to Gauteng for 2nd and 3rd legs of triple crown..will he bring her to Durban for the season for the woolavington and the july well that will depend on the world class grass track at greyville

bob the English derby only colts and fillies can run is that correct?is it the same for the other 3 year old classics and any other races in Europe whereby onlyfilliesand colts not geldings can run?

A few of the big Classics are only open to colts and fillies. No geldings nor rigs. Ah, what's a rig?

The year before Empress Club, Star Effort (filly) won the Cape Guineas with Michael Roberts up.

It didn't stop there... In 1994, Little Ballerina wins the Cape Guineas ... start to finish with Andrew Fortune up.

In 1993, Vesta, ( I think the owner was Mr Hass) a filly with a devastating late burst of speed failed to catch Eli's Truth in the Cape Guineas.

I think Mr Fortune also rode Vesta.
