Majmu winning Avontuur Cape Fillies

Taking a line through horses behind Maymu, Majmu is not a 114 rating...think I have posted before that on line through Flame Cat, Majmu is probably a 107/108 and with horses like Inara (rated 89-ran well above rating...maybe distance better suited...), Double Whammy (rated 100) and Jet Set Go (rated 98) within 3-4 lengths that seems to confirm rating of +-108...I know Majmu won unextended so winning margin could have been more...so I think current max rating is 110...
Would have liked to have seen Majmu open up and win by 5,6,7 lengths to show improving ability but in the absence of this, current rating would be about 110...really doesn't matter as she is unlikely to run in any handicaps...only set-weight races like Paddock Stakes, Met, etc...

Thanks @Bob...Didn't watch race...no electricity at time of race so only saw Tabgold results last night and worked on what winning margins were...

Nice to see her handy which allowed her a clear run(unlike her race in JHB where she was rolled) - I do wish she wins many races and gets up a following amongst punters and non-punters alike. With Act Of War and Legislate around we really do have some super athletes to follow next year which can only be good for Racing.

I agree but do you not think a little too soon after this run? I wonder if the Met will be in their plans - If she won that then WOW!!

gee chicken for someone who is so well versed in racing I am shocked you don't know that the cape guineas is open to ALL 3 YEAR OLD HORSES ,, when variety club won the cape guineas the fillies guineas winner 2 weeks earlier princess Victoria ran 3rd ....
