But its about Unionists vs Republicans. It is because Unionists are generally protestants and Republicans catholics that people say its a religious problem. It's not, its a political problem, but, which has a religious inference.

On a lighter note :-

A fleeing Taliban, desperate for water, was plodding through the Afghan Desert when he saw something far off in the distance.
Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the oasis only to find a Royal Marine selling regimental ties.

I'm with Gajima - partially, as far as the above quote goes.

You only have to read what your straight Muslim thinks about the school killings to realise that these guys are NOT practicing Islam. They are in the same boat as pseudo-Christian cult members, picking out and exaggerating some few bits of the Koran and ignoring others, and using the resulting weird "religion" to justify themselves in doing whatever suits them.

Remember Jim Jones of Jonestown infamy, remember Heavens Gate, remember Charles Manson? They called themselves true Christians but by God, they were nothing of the kind.

Just for interest which I read on Wiki. To be Catholic is not a criterion to be a member of the IRA. There are many protestant members of the IRA. However, one cannot be a member of the IRA if one practises a non-trinitarian religion eg Jehova's Witness. That is, if, one wants to be a member of the IRA.
