I have to say that WAVIN FLAG, on the comeback run against Louis the King, is as close to a certainty as can be. Been claimed but still decent odds at 14/10

Banker for the day

See Varster is now outright 4/1 favourite, although I don't think it's because of a claim, they may have re-priced for the race now that the penny has dropped, hopefully she arrives, 4/1 is still good odds, do think she will start shorter.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

R3 St Tropez - only just behind Panga and Ultimate Dollar in the run to Blackmore despite it being his debut run and reportedly not striding out. Good draw with BFH, 7s was massive imo

R4 Jet Belle

R5 I originally ended up coming to the same conclusions as Bayern (thanks as always). I do think Speedy Chestnut and Elusive Wave could be competitive but on lines through Be Fabulous they do look held. If they can get SC running on sooner though I think she could be a big runner here. As Bayern says, plenty going for Varster in respect of weight and draw and she now also BFH up who rode Saint Sophia lto. It was also International Jockey day so one or two may improve for a change in jockey. Having watched the race again though and reading the Bass comment that SS had "heaps in hand" I am less convinced the form will be overturned. Tricky imo but I'll stick with SS to go in again.

R6 Small e/w on Coltrane. Last run ignored and not a bad effort in penultimate off a 20 week break.

R7 Act Of War. Some value perhaps about Light The Lights.

R8 Jet Aglow
R9 Anzac
R10 Sunday Seventh. Ashram could give the exacta some value

Be(s)t of luck to all

SEVEN WOODS worth a place in the opener if you must - I see THREE Jay Peg's on debut in that race? I would not be having a bet here - Another anomaly is PS taki9ng a ride on a early unraced baby
STEM IN DIE BOS (hammer places) and LEGAL FORCE for my bi-pot(the first timer CAPTAIN SAM may well win on debut but I'm taking a chance with the two form runners)
PANGA PANGA, ULTIMATE DOLLAR and COUNT DRACULA (sw box and the Count is worth a place bet)
MAYBE YES - has won after a rest before - top class and should run well - JET BELLE back to her second home at the Kotzen stable and is always a serious runner against her own sex - LANNER FALCON shows ability and will run well
CATCHPHRASE, SAINT SOPHIA and BE FABULOUS(like this to place)
WAVIN` FLAG, DYNASTIC POWER and TRIBAL DANCE(place bet )
ACT OF WAR and ZAMBEZI RIVER - I don;t like Harry's Son at all and would rather include BALANCE SHEET than him
READYTOGORIGHTNOW JET EXPLORER(ignore the last run my place and e/w bet of the day) and GONE BABY GONE (include in quartets)
OREO SHAKE, LIONS ROAR(rover) MATADOR IN RED
NATURAL BLONDE(just for Davetheflower) my 4 place bet of the day

Others who may do well today

Race 2: Sstrikers mount will surely like to short sprint better. Striker knows pace and should outsmart even CAPTAIN SAM here

Race 4 looks all over - Eventual Angel

Race 7 If you box 1,2,4,5,10 and 11 you should catch everything

Races 8 and 9 are very competitive

Have fun everyone
