Not too imaginative, but trying to close the double :-

Varster x Act Of War
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I am just a bit worried that all the travel will take its toll!

mr hawaii wrote: SEVEN WOODS worth a place in the opener if you must - I see THREE Jay Peg's on debut in that race? I would not be having a bet here - Another anomaly is PS taki9ng a ride on a early unraced baby
STEM IN DIE BOS (hammer places) and LEGAL FORCE for my bi-pot(the first timer CAPTAIN SAM may well win on debut but I'm taking a chance with the two form runners)
PANGA PANGA, ULTIMATE DOLLAR and COUNT DRACULA (sw box and the Count is worth a place bet)
MAYBE YES - has won after a rest before - top class and should run well - JET BELLE back to her second home at the Kotzen stable and is always a serious runner against her own sex - LANNER FALCON shows ability and will run well
CATCHPHRASE, SAINT SOPHIA and BE FABULOUS(like this to place)
WAVIN` FLAG, DYNASTIC POWER and TRIBAL DANCE(place bet )
ACT OF WAR and ZAMBEZI RIVER - I don;t like Harry's Son at all and would rather include BALANCE SHEET than him
READYTOGORIGHTNOW JET EXPLORER(ignore the last run my place and e/w bet of the day) and GONE BABY GONE (include in quartets)
OREO SHAKE, LIONS ROAR(rover) MATADOR IN RED
NATURAL BLONDE(just for Davetheflower) my 4 place bet of the day
got some nice place jet explorer :) :)

I could be way off, but I really like the place chances of rank outsider Emblem Honour. Draw 1 should have him more in the race, MR has dropped and he wasn't exactly hard ridden last time. He tried a few distances but this is the right trip and at around 9 to 1 a place it's worth a small bet.

Totally gutted. Had Anzac in a patent with St Tropez and Coltrane. Lost lengths at the start and then went inside with a strong run and got blocked off. Could easily have won without either issue and would have paid for my next three months in SA. Punting can be very harsh sometimes.
