De Kock is itching to win a group 1 in the UK, you think those 2 may be his best hope??

The Derby for me exposed the stamina of AoW...........travelled well enough till then IMO. Ertijaal's time is impressive against any measure!!!!!! but you have to ignore the comparative times that would give Arniston a MR of 118 :silly:

Some sense between all the hype - for me Act of War did not stay - but still impressive by the winner - but would not rate him as 'world class' - still has the potential though.

Have not seen 'Met post mortem' (too busy to really look) - I thoughtLouis was ridden incorrectly, not saying he would have won, but if he goes for the July, I will give him another chance

I think something was up with Act of War, was very very late into the parade ring and when he finally arrived he didn't act as usual. Wasn't as calm as normal, very interested to see what Ramsden has to say. Lets not call Ertijaal the next superstar until we here what happened to act of war. I put a few bob of Ertijaal after I saw the parade ring antics, I thought it was quite obvious.

Even if AoW is 100% he will not beat Ertijaal over 2000m plus at a galloping track. I would be very, very surprised if AoW takes his place in the Classic or Derby in JHB which will tell a story on its own.

Considering how many runs Ertijaal had before Saturday and that he has run in DBN, JHB and then traveled to Kenilworth to take on the locals......... wow

I don't know but Ramsden felt AoW was not himself and the rest of the field finished on top of AoW which should then be the line horse.

It wont matter much as his next two races could be the Classic & Derby and then it will be off overseas......

Race 6 - We have done some lung washes and taken a blood this morning. He might well not have stayed but one always then feels that it is the last bit the horse will tire. However, this was not his run and I believe something is not quite right so let’s see if anything shows up.

Yes - If one assumes that both LM and Arniston ran to their ratings of around 93/94 (gross)

this is why i`m asking, Either he will be rated lower than his probable ability, and the race will be de valued

Or he will be rated higher and the rest of the field penalised apart from AOW?
