race 8
Any of Flame Cat ,Silent Rush or Precursor would be odds - on favourite to win this race.
Miss December's debut (T1000) three lengths to FC ,1/2 length SR and on time,0,12 seconds slower then Precursor on the day she won her maiden (V1000) could be good enough to place at least
Var - Bush Girl [August Rush,
Miss October November Sky]

First punt of the new year to be a winning one...

Race 4, Conditions: #9 TAMAANEE; weighted to win by over 3 lengths; trainer Tarry is hot; lightly raced; nap her.

Race 7, Lebelo Sprint: not much current value for the top 3 on the bookies' boards; So, #2 MR WHATEVER; good form includes downing Schiffer allbeit in July; jockey Randolph is hot; the stable raids from KZN not just to enjoy the good weather; I think worth 10's.

Prosperous punting B)

My buddy's Alarm Call going down by a whisker after trying to bite National Flame, the winner, in the 2005 Lebelo. Alarm Call won the 2004 rendition at 20/1. It was a grand day.

Some thoughts:

R4: Bravo Maya if repeating her penultimate when running well above her rating, could upset her more fancied stable companion - surely only the 2 runners needed for the P6

R5: The Captain's Tune has shown glimpses of potential but is too short in the betting (imo) for a handicap - trying to beat him in the P6 (with any of Akii Bua, Leeuloop Jet, Zanzibar Man, Bah and perhaps also Laurie's Gold)

R6: Maria Therese all the rage, but has yet to confirm her reputation on the track - will be many people's P6 banker, so I will also be trying to beat her (with any of Withbatedbreath, Main Sunday, Tinseltown or Pinchbe)

R7: Competitive sprint - I think Trip to Heaven is vulnerable over the 1000 - Tiger Territory is in top from and is my first choice from Chekilli and Trip to Heaven

R8: Many with chances - only Sheen Queen looks out of it - take your pick

R9: Very difficult race to close, but have to narrow it down to Gasoline and Barbel Run - my idea of a roughie is Duty Dance - as per Formgrids, must rate a decent chance at big odds

Enjoy B)

Race 4 7 Bravo Maya...(Danielson)

All the best to all Clanners for today...
