Topaz Rain was fancied on debut but ran in the bush, has been rested and being from the Drier yard was probably showing some potential, worth another look today maybe?

Kingofmountains was also fancied last time out, had excuses for that run but has been backed again today.

If Kingofmountain jumps he will be very hard to beat. Got left standing last time out and was 50m+ I would say behind the 2nd last horse. Hands and heels he made it to 12.2 lengths off. So well handicapped it is scary. On form, he jumps, he wins. That's why I took Chill out of this race.IMHO anyway.

Quite a few of those horses have come here to race off their grass mark and won well and won again. There is 22kgs difference between his grass and sand rating. I don't know the answer but maybe they should take a mark half way between the 2 ratings. Lets see what happens tonight as it will be clearer after that. I stand by what I saw and this horse is almost an absolute certainty unless something goes wrong.

Trotting round at the back of the field is different to when your racing full blast, we wont know if he likes the surface until he really has to put down on it

R1 Darielle put in a decent performance against the boys lto and has blinkers on here. If that last run heralds the start of better things for her then up against her own sex again she could be the value at around 12s. Suzie Wong and Princess Stephanie my next two.
R2 Uncle Tommy x Captain's Daughter
R3 Your Worship to remain a bridesmaid with Captain Zafonic forcing the former to settle for a place. Messageinabottle could be the e/w value around 12/1.
R4 At the prices, I'll chance Noriki to upset the two market "hotties"
R5 I like DESROCHES here. Ahlaam and Queen Eliza might be the next best while Jamboree is a big nagger and likely to be right there too.
R6 San Trip x Royal Tree
R7 With the scratching I'll row in with Dravidian with Scrum Half respected in an open contest.
R8 Craig will either be on the receiving end of half a lemonade or a lot of flack
Kingofmountain. Dun Carrier well worth a couple of rand imo with Te Zar and Teppanyaki not too far off. French Mark also looks some value at the prices.
Be(s)t of luck to all
