Somewhere I read (could have been here on ABC) that stats had been taken out in PE using horses that had run at least 3 times on both poly and grass and it indicated that 80% of horses ran within 3 lengths of their normal form on both tracks.

Craig ,I think that is right ,AND/BUT the form repeats itself more consistently on Poly.......and that is the point I was suggesting .
IMO this whole Poly/AW issue is a mindset .................nobody in the US thinks that only Turf racing is worthwhile .........in fact,on the contrary, it is secondary!
Ideally we will eventually embrace both.
I think that the problem with Greyville is not the surface ,but the tight restricted space they squeezed it into and I think that will be a problem they might regret, to some extent ,forever
