The RA doing a great job!
17 years 1 month ago
As recieved per e mail from the RA:
We've have had even more owners join our association because the good news is spreading fast. The RA has offered its helping hand to the Race Day Experience and together with the Phumelela marketing team, we believe that we are making racing more enjoyable. The horse racing campaign on Highveld stereo 94.7 has been working really well and we've managed to secure SABC coverage for all the races on Champions Day.
NIGHT RACING: Night racing may be delayed, however the RA is committed to this concept, one of the reasons being that we can stage three meetings on the highveld per week. Our Chairman, Larry Wainstein, was one of the guest speakers at the gambling conference held at Emperor's palace last week and his speech was well received.
NEW CATERERS: Our Elevation room will have new caterers after May 3. Isizwe will step aside to give another catering firm an opportunity to meet your high standards. “Ella Royale” has run restaurants around the country including Sun City and is very excited to be taking up this challenge.
COLOUR BADGES: The RA is introducing colour badges for all our members - we have your silks printed on your badge with your name and the RA logo. Please call Vanessa at our offices to order your new badge.
BEHIND THE SCENES: The RA continues to represent all owners on a daily basis with regards to all racing related matters like National Horse Racing Authority issues, Racing South Africa, Programming (we’ve just completed June to September), Highveld and Equus awards (we having our Highveld awards on the 10th of May at the Hyatt hotel in Rosebank), Phumelela property committee, SAJA, Trainers Association, Randjesfontein (currently dealing with the Gautrain expropriation through a very small area on the outskirts of Randjies and an upgrade of tracks), The Trust, Tellytrack (we'RE working on a monthly show hosted by the RA and driving a second channel or a device that will bring the on-course channel to the home of the owner), Industry Liaison and a National Owners’ Industry Liaison committee (we had our first meeting last month and many interesting issues were discussed that could enhance opportunities for RA members country wide), and dealing with track issues (we recently had our RA track experts out to inspect Vaal and Turffontein; please look out for it in upcoming issues).
Have a great Gomma Gomma day; if you're not in one of our venue rooms, remember that you can use the newly-developed Piazza. Hope to see you at the after-party in the Colorado outside the Elevation room.
AWESOME from the RA to introduce a badge with your colours on it! Just shows u they are making the game a pleasure again!

Thankfully you've managed to wipe/edit it yourself and earned your 'brownie' points.

I just think there are as much positive changes as there are challenges but to get stuck on the negative stuff all the time solve no problems! I think it is time for you to open your eyes and see what the RA/P is doing for RSA racing! Want a voucher for the shave/hairdresser?
