UK & Navan Sunday Cards

R1 Navan Crystal Pearl. This looks a match between the selection and Sam Red. Crystal Pearl has easily the best hurdles form so far and was a good second when a well backed favourite in a competitive race at Leopardstown last time. Should be favourite over Sam Red in my book and 7/4 looks a decent price.

I had just bet Crystal Pearl, this looks an easier race than last time imo, although the fav could be an improver

Wildebeest would have a huge chance on his penultimate run (also at Navan), Bob, and you could argue that he found two-and-a-half miles too far last time (was also a much better race than this). 7/2 seems a bit skinny, though, in a race where there are a lot of ifs and buts. Would want 5/1 myself.

Steck, what did you think of that run? horse beaten after the 2nd hurdle, never looked on a going day...

Something clearly amiss, Bob. All she wanted to do was go right - looked almost unsteerable at times. Wonder if she might have been in season.

Hope you were on, Bob, despite the price. Don't think he had anything like as much in hand as Carberry made it seem.

R6 Huntingdon Thedrinkymeister. Now that Boite has come out, this looks a straight match between the selection and Inner Drive. The latter has been off for a year and is making his hurdling debut today, whereas the Thedrinkymeister has run well in strong races the last twice. Should be favourite over Inner Drive here and 15/8 is a very fair price.
