Bob how does a groom's wage in the uK compare with say a teller in a supermarket?

It's difficult to convert with the weak rand as u have to compare apples with apples but grooms are way down the food chain and would have to take into consideration if accommodation and food was given but R20 per hour would be the figure imo

All low paid jobs in the UK are guarded by law in the UK, min wage is about £6.50 an hour
So a 40 hour week would get £260 etc

Bob I think that's about R120 per hour in SA ( high wage)

Problem with grooms now they dont want to work the 9 hr day with 1 hr lunch .They refuse to look after for more horses each .They want higher wage with same work .At moment some stables only working 6 -7 hrs a day .5h30 to 10h30 then 14h00 -16h00 .Now what .Pe stakes much less than jhb .Pe expenses more than jhb .Food ,lucerne etc .Yet pe must pay same wage as jhb .

A person who comes in and cleans the house charges £12 an hours as does the guy who works in the garden. So why do these guys who look after an animal which can potentially earn tens if not hundreds of thousands only get paid around £1 an hour. Somebody, somewhere is laughing all the way to the bank.

Rock all you would need to do is kid on your getting on and they would run faster
