Not sure how he could withdraw a horse ? I thought their job was to weigh in and out the jocks ?

Greg they must just use the Sand in the winter as it seems if a drop of rain falls on the surface they can't race. Worse than Greyville ever was at it's worst.

I think the reason is because trainers are given the option to scratch due to the change of venue and if they decide to exercise that option it is reported via the clerk of scales..

Give everything but up!

Why would you scratch On This Rock with an 86 Turf compared to a 67 Sand rating. Maybe they feel he has a better chance of beating the likes of Tiger Territory and Moofeed off an 86 on Saturday.
