Hi,
I am trying to get a broodmare from Mooi River to WC. She is currently in foal, due to foal Mid August.
This technically means I cannot move her after the movement ban is lifted, as she will be too close to foaling. Once she has foaled I will yet again have to wait until the foal is strong enough to travel.
I have inquired about the movement protocols, and the various costs are as follows:
1. Initial health certificate from personal vet
2. Transport to Beaufort West
3. 14 days minimum in quarantine
4. PRC test
5. Transport Beaufort West to WC
Does anyone have an approximate cost for this whole exercise? Or suggestions on how to go about this that is most cost-effective?
